Today we had a morning assembly. At the beginning of the school year, in partnership with Underwood Memorial Library and the Masons from Lafayette Lodge 48 in Readfield, FCS launched the Bikes for Books reading program. Throughout the year participating students kept track of the number of books that they read and turned in reading logs. Today was the culmination of all of their reading. The Masons from Lafayette Lodge 48 donated 14 bikes! A boy and girl from each grade was selected from the reading logs to take home a bike! A big THANK YOU to the LaFayette Lodge and Underwood Memorial Library for making this possible for our students!
